15th June – 15th September 2010 Throughout the summer, the cries of the king of the jungle, Tarzan, will reverberate around Angouleme as both the Angouleme Museum and Cartoon Strip Museum hold an exhibition dedicated to this iconic figure.
Both museums will display much of the popular imagery that has been used throughout the years to illustrate Tarzan. This new exhibition was created by the Quai Branly Museum last year and shows Tarzan returning to his legendary sources of the cinema, adverts, cartoons etc drawn by some of the world’s greatest illustrators. From Tuesday to Friday 10am to 6pm, the weekend 2pm to 6pm. Entrance fee: 4€ (visit of the museum), 6€ (museum and exhibition), free for less than 18 years-old.
