Circuit des remparts - 14-16 September 2012
Modern motorsports events are dominated by speed and performance, so if you like your cars a little more classic, your pace a little less frenetic, then make a date to visit Angoulême in September for the Circuit des Remparts.
The first event - which was all about speed and performance too – was held in 1939 but today the Circuit des Remparts is an opportunity for all the family to enjoy the elegance and individuality of classic cars.
The weekend begins with a Friday evening Elegance Parade through the historic town; Saturday offers drivers the chance to take part in a 200km rally through the beautiful Charente countryside; and Sunday is race day around the town’s ancient ramparts.
And of course there are beautiful cars on display – many from the UK – throughout the event, which this year takes place from 14-16 September.
