Les Gastronomades, Angoulême - 23-25 November 2012
Discover fresh local produce, talk to our chefs, and collect their recipes at Les Gastronomades, the annual celebration of food from the Charente department.
Held over the last weekend in November in the county town of Angoulême, Les Gastronomades is a unique opportunity to discover local cuisine from field to plate and to meet the people involved, from farmers and growers to chefs, food manufacturers and restaurateurs.
This year’s event takes place in November at a number of venues across the city centre, and admission is free.
You’ll find cookery demonstrations, exhibitions and tastings, as well as market stalls where you can stock up on edible souvenirs to take home.
And with an international audience for their produce, many of the participants speak English, so you won’t even have to worry about your language skills.
